The Qilin (or Kirin) is a fabled chimerical creature said to herald the imminent arrival of a sage. We have chosen the Qilin as our mascot to symbolise our commitment to bring visionary technology to the ICT industry. Our mission is to bridge the gap between the research community and industry. We are a strong advocate for Augmented Intelligence (AI) which is a hybrid of Artificial Intelligence and Human Intelligence. We at Tech Singularity believe that both human experts and Artificial Intelligence working in tandem would deliver the best outcomes. Our goal is not to build the next terminator, instead we are focused on building Intelligent systems that will help people complete their tasks efficiently, while reducing the tedious manual effort involved. This way organisations can focus on more strategic management and not waste valuable resources on monotonous work that can be handled through automation.
"The technological singularity is the hypothesis that the invention of artificial superintelligence will abruptly trigger runaway technological growth, resulting in unfathomable changes to human civilization." We have chosen this name to highlight our mission to bring cutting edge AI technology into the industry and solve a number of problems currently being faced by various industry sectors. There are a lot of promising algorithms and technologies in the research world; however, only a small percentage of them have been adopted in the industry. Tech Singularity aims to rectify this by bringing together people from both the ICT industry and the research community to bring about more widescale adoption of cutting-edge research. We have a legion of ICT engineers (working for various blue chip companies) that work for us on a freelance basis. As a a result of our close ties with the Service Science Society of Australia and the Decision Systems Lab, we bring in expertise from a number of influential figures from the research community.
